What is Qi?

Qi is often translated as energy or life force, but these terms are far too limited to adequately convey the complexity and richness of the meaning, so it is best left untranslated. According to Traditional Chinese Medicine, Qi is the basic substance of the human body. At the same time, Traditional Chinese Medicine also believes that Qi is the functional intelligence or consciousness of organs and tissues. Ultimately, we can only describe some properties of Qi, but we can’t really define it. Qi is considered precious and needs to be carefully preserved. It is one of the ‘Three Treasures,’ indicating that supporting and nourishing the Qi is key to a healthy life.

The Bottom Line: What's so important about Qi?

We are all born with a certain amount of Original or Primordial Qi (the amount varies from person to person). This Qi sustains our life and our health. It’s kind of like a trust fund. If we have wasted it or spend it too quickly by living stress-filled or overactive lives, it will be very difficult to produce more. So, we need to preserve this Qi and invest it wisely because when we start running low, we don’t get another rich great uncle leaving us another big chuck of cash. And when we have no more left, we have no more life.

So we want to not only make sure that we’re not overspending, but we want to do everything we can to make our bank account grow. It’s simply a mathematical equation: the more Qi we have, the more vital and healthy we are and the more we are able to live joy-filled, abundant and successful lives. The less Qi we have, the sicker and more depressed and fearful we become. That’s where the Vibration Project comes in. We’re here to help you build a huge 401K!
